The area involved in the project represent an ideal place to imagine a new center for the city, a gathering point for the comunity with not only economic functions.
The idea of the project starts from this point: create a public space into the building. The building tries to define permeable relations into the existing environment. Gaining the quality of the open space and an identity for this particular part of the city.
A single mass building contains all the programs. Inside an innercourtyard provide a confortable space to meet people and relax. The market and the indipendent shops are separeted to distinguish the different functions.
The upper floor is occupied by dwellings for elderly people. The building is a place to see and be seen. A space in which people can meet, live, and buy.
